This Privacy Policy describes how the TACH Hymnal app ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

The App is designed to work with minimal data collection. Specifically:

• Local preferences – Your favourite hymns, font size preference, and recently viewed hymns are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.
• Cached audio files – When you play a hymn for the first time, the audio file is downloaded and cached on your device for offline use. These files are stored in your device's local cache.
• No account required – The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information.

2. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads. We request non-personalised ads only by default.

Cloudflare R2

Audio files are served from Cloudflare R2 object storage. Cloudflare may log standard server access information (IP address, request metadata) as part of its infrastructure. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Information

We do not collect, process, or share your personal data. Any data stored locally on your device (preferences, favourites) is used solely to improve your in-app experience and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to any third party. The only data sharing that occurs is through the third-party SDKs listed in Section 2, subject to their respective privacy policies.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for general audiences and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information at all, no special measures are required.

6. Data Security

All user preferences are stored locally on your device using standard platform storage mechanisms. Audio files are cached in the app's designated cache directory. We do not transmit or store this data on external servers.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on our end. To clear locally stored preferences (favourites, recently viewed, font size), you can clear the app's data from your device settings, or uninstall and reinstall the app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
